Continuo forwards trackpad gestures as native events on the remote Mac, not just pointer position. Pinch-to-zoom, rotate, and swipe behave the way they would on a local trackpad when the link is healthy. Gesture forwarding requires Pro; see Free vs Pro.
What crosses
Gesture events travel on the low-latency motion channel alongside pointer movement. Supported gestures include magnify (pinch), rotate, and swipe patterns macOS reports through the event tap.
Tune remote feel
Under Settings → Control & Edges → Pointer, set Pointer device to
Trackpad to force the steeper trackpad acceleration curve on the remote
side even if you are using a mouse locally. Auto follows whichever device
you are actually using. Trackpad sensitivity scales remote acceleration:
1.0 matches native trackpad scaling read from macOS defaults.
If the remote cursor feels too fast after a flick, lower trackpad sensitivity or switch Pointer device to Mouse when using an external mouse.
When gestures feel laggy
Continuo prefers direct peer links when available. If latency spikes, a banner may suggest waking a direct P2P path, for example by starting AirDrop or Universal Control briefly on the same network.
